Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 September 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and TryChat (“TryChat”, “we”, “us”). They apply to the TryChat website, chat assistant, image tools and any related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old, and at least the age of digital consent in your country. If you are under 18 you need permission from a parent or guardian.
- You must give accurate account information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- One person or organisation per account. Do not share, sell or transfer your account.
- Tell us straight away at support@trychat.net if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
3. Plans, billing and refunds
- TryChat offers a Free plan and a paid plan, TryChat Plus, at the price shown on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply.
- Paid plans renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Billing & plan; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and we do not give refunds for partly used periods.
- We may change prices or plan limits. We will give reasonable notice before a change affects a renewal.
- Plans granted manually by an administrator (for example a trial or a courtesy upgrade) may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
4. Usage limits and fair use
Each plan has limits, such as messages per day, images per day, upload size and total storage. Limits are shown on the pricing page and in your billing page and may be enforced automatically. We may apply rate limiting, temporary blocks or extra checks to protect the Service from abuse, automated scraping, resale of access or excessive load.
5. AI output — important notice
- Responses are generated by machine learning models and can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or offensive. Always check important information independently.
- The Service does not provide medical, legal, financial, tax or other professional advice, and must not be relied on for emergencies or safety-critical decisions.
- Similar prompts may produce similar output for other users, so output is not guaranteed to be unique.
- Generated images and text may resemble existing works. You are responsible for checking that your use of output is lawful.
6. Your content
“Input” means what you send us (messages, files, images). “Output” means what the Service returns. As between you and us, you keep ownership of your Input and, to the extent allowed by law, we assign to you our rights in the Output for your conversations. You grant us a licence to host, store, process and transmit your Input and Output only as needed to run, secure, support and improve the Service, and to comply with the law. You confirm you have the rights to the content you upload.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- create or share sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises minors in any way;
- harass, threaten, defame, or promote hate, violence, self-harm or terrorism;
- build weapons, malware, exploits, or content designed to defraud or deceive people;
- generate deepfakes, impersonate real people or organisations, or produce political disinformation;
- upload malware, attempt to breach security, reverse engineer the Service, or bypass limits, filters or safety systems;
- scrape, resell, or use the Service to train a competing AI model;
- process sensitive personal data or others' personal data without a lawful basis.
We may review content when needed for safety, legal or abuse reasons, and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
8. Third-party services
The Service runs on third-party infrastructure and model providers, including hosting, database and authentication, object storage, AI model providers and a web-search provider. Your Input may be sent to these providers to deliver the features you use. Their terms also apply to that processing. See the Privacy Policy for details.
9. Availability and changes
We may add, change, suspend or remove features at any time, and we may run maintenance that interrupts the Service. Models offered can change or be retired by their providers. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete your content after a reasonable period.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and costs arising from your Input, your use of Output, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Amman, Jordan have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you other rights.
